Why Patience is Needed so Much with Trust-Building

Everything can be perfect on your blog, but if nobody trusts your word or you then forget about getting anywhere. Any business blog can benefit from increased trust by the readers, so with that thought let’s talk about a couple strategies.

Cause and effect, you can surely stack the cards in your favor if you do certain things consistently and your readers perceive you to be reliable. People sometimes do not adequately realize how powerful simple gestures can be such as demonstrating courtesy and respect toward others. Since relationship building will get you to where you want to be, then that means you will naturally need to be responsive when anyone communicates with you whether through comments, emails or whatever. We all know some folks are not nice and even rude, but always maintain your composure and handle it professionally. Any time you sink to their level, it will only consume time and energy because some people thrive on conflict, etc. Plus you have to maintain the principle that people should be able to express their thoughts as long as things stay within rationale bounds. This is exactly why you should try to view your readers as a part of your blog and give them a reason to trust you.

There is no reason to ever feel embarrassed to say you have committed some kind of unintentional error, and in fact people will respect you more for it. It is not hard to admit mistakes, generally, but it is so worth it online because that is what makes people feel good about you. We all think that the majority of people are careful about what they write and publish. We are all too busy to get in a row if we discover common mistakes in writing, etc, and so it is no big deal; just try to catch them. So an honest effort on all fronts is all you can do, but in time it will not pass unnoticed.

If you are open enough to throw your own photograph onto your blog, then that will be one more big plus in your favor. Some people may think you are trying to hide something because they are comfortable with putting their pics on Facebook, etc. You have to assume people will believe it is you, and besides it is natural to want to know what a person looks like when you are talking to them. All of the positives go along with this, and you may see a big difference with readers after you do that.

We all know that building trust will not happen overnight or even in a very short period of time, so you will need to display some patience.
